Even though I grew up Christian, I always believed the Jewish culture with the focus on the feasts held a great deal for us Christians to learn from. This book is amazing because it shows how one man who was dead set against Christianity went to his rabbis to ask for proof that Jesus did not fulfill the OT prophecies and the rabbis were unable to prove this to him but ended up confirming the possibility that Christ could actually be the Messiah. It is a beautiful story of conversion even against the excommunication from the Jewish community and his family.
This book reads like an autobiography, because that's what it is. All the chapters are filled with touching and heartwarming stories. This story needs to be told and read because it shows how men and women stand up for their faith because it is the truth and won't bend even for man and even under threat of disowning by family members. The start of the book will kill you - I was near tears immediately. This book is so real. It shows the difference between knowing the truth and buying the lie. It shows the difference between heaven and hell. This book is the story of all our lives. I hold this book invaluable. It is now apart of my permanent library. Wow. What a story.
Only thing is I wish the title was something different. Something more profound because I'm afraid many people will pass up on this book and not be edified. This book is profound and should definitely be read by all. The book is more about true faith than it is about controversy, in my opinion.
Disclaimer: I gave my honest review. I received this book from the publisher but a positive review was not required
